Meet Jeff and Nicole

Jeff and Nicole met in 2016 at a mutual friends in Terre Haute, Indiana. After a lengthy trail ride and great conversation around the barn one night, as they say, the rest is history.

Nicole is a lifelong horse owner who has participated in barrel racing, pole bending, breakaway roping, goat tying, and team roping in Junior and High School Rodeo as an All-around cowgirl. She was Miss Ohio High School Rodeo 2007. She grew up in Wilmington, Ohio as a second generation cowgirl. Her family operation has bred and raised many horses to competition level in contesting, roping and rodeo events.

Currently, she actively participates in National Barrel Horse Association, International Barrel Racing Association, and International Professional Rodeo Association events throughout the U.S. Nicole is passionate about helping others advance and learn. As a former pole vaulter and gymnast she has spent years competing, as well as, coaching athletes from beginner to college level. Nicole completed a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, and later a Master’s in Occupational Therapy from Indiana State University. Nicole continues to develop her tractor driving/machine operating skills each hay season.

Jeff was born and raised in southern Indiana.

He attended Indiana State, like Nicole. Jeff is passionate about farming row crops and hay, which lead him to the purchase of what is now Jenkins Farm and Ranch. Jeff continues to find ways to improve the quality and consistency of the hay while being a steward of the land.

Jeff and Nicole saw a need for high quality hay in the area. They decided to invest in making round and square bales to serve the needs of themselves, friend’s, family and the local community.

They switched from row crops to hay in 2019, which they say is almost as fun as sorting cows!
